1. Take a Hike! – State Parks

State parks around the state are holding activities to celebrate National Trails Day. Go to your local park and take (a free) hike! You can also mail in this form you get verified at a park for a free patch.

2. Jewel City Jamboree – Huntington

This music festival at Harris Riverfront Park starts Friday afternoon and runs through Sunday afternoon. Full schedule.

3. 90th Annual Rose Show – Charleston

The annual event is back after a two year hiatus at the University of Charleston. More info.

4. Take a flight to Myrtle Beach! – Bridgeport

The first direct flight from The North Central West Virginia Airport and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina will take off Friday night at 7… the Clarksburg Exponent-Telegram says there are still seats left!

5. Rainbow Pride – Charleston
