Yes that’s right—in-state tuition for WVU (not to mention three other colleges) is about to go up. The state just approved the rate increase on Monday.

MetroNews reports that for the 2015-16 school year:

Tuition for instate undergrads will go up 9.7%, or $672.

Tuition is also going up at these schools:

  • West Virginia State – a $434 increase
  • Potomac State – a $288 increase

The Charleston Gazette reports WVU President Gordon Gee has called the proposed 10 percent tuition increases “modest at best,” but then again we know how much he makes.
