Yann’s – Fairmont
Don’t you dare ask for ketchup at this Fairmont institution. Owner Russell Yann operates in a tiny space located on the west side of the High Level bridge where customers flock to get his hot dogs complete with his family’s famous sauce and chocolate milk to wash’em down.
King Tut’s Drive-In – Beckley
This Beckley institution is a must stop for any hot dog lover in the southern part of the state.
Sam’s Hot Dog Stand – Huntington
The homemade sauce is made right in the shop using extra lean beef based on a recipe developed by co-founder Frank Lucente who wanted it to taste like what he’d loved as a child.
Woody’s Hot Dogs – Fairmont
Swing by for a great hot dog and sauce in a family diner atmosphere.
Skeenies – Charleston
Devotees swear by hot dogs and footlongs with mustard, chili, slaw and onions from this Kanawha landmark that’s been around since 1953.
Dogs 11 – Martinsburg
Located just south of Martinsburg, this is the place in the Eastern Panhandle to try some different toppings like their house-made hot cherry pepper relish, cheese and of course, sauce. Also features homemade buns and sauerkraut.
Tom’s Carryout – Oak Hill
A local legend that features homemade recipes by Tom Louisos and is popular for its hot dog sauces (spicy, shugar or original chili). Dogs are often paired with tasty sundaes, including the West Virginia Coal Seam complete with homemade chocolate sauce and peanuts.
Star City Hot Dogs – Morgantown
